Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is:
Marcell SperlingNeusüdender Weg 38C
26125 Oldenburg
Germany
Email: sperling@veridike.ai
2. General information
We process personal data only insofar as it is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. Processing is generally based on your consent or another legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR. Personal data is deleted once the purpose of storage no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted on a server in a data centre in Germany. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf that is required to operate the website, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our online offering (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). No data is transferred to third countries in the context of hosting.
4. Server log files
Each time the website is accessed, information is automatically collected in server log files: IP address, date and time, requested URL and HTTP status, browser type and operating system (user agent) and, where transmitted, the referrer. This is processed to ensure the security, stability and operation of the website and to prevent abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are retained only briefly and then automatically overwritten or deleted.
5. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
6. Contact form and demo requests
When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally firm/company and role, your message) and technical data (IP address, timestamp) to handle your request and prevent abuse. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) given via the privacy checkbox, and — where your request concerns the initiation or conclusion of a contract — Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as well as our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The request is stored in our database and sent to us by email. We delete the data once processing is complete and no statutory retention obligations apply. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
7. Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our contact form against abusive automated use (spam), we use “reCAPTCHA”, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. reCAPTCHA transmits information to Google (including IP address, dwell time, mouse movements and device/browser information) to determine whether input is made by a human. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and ensuring IT security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). reCAPTCHA is loaded only on the contact page. A transfer of data to Google in the USA cannot be excluded; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses additionally apply. See Google's privacy policy.
8. Fonts
This website uses font files hosted locally on our own server (self-hosting). No connection to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts) is established and no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
9. Cookies
We use only technically necessary or functional cookies — no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies: a language-preference cookie (“veridike_lang”); a session cookie (“veridike_session”) set only for logged-in editors (HttpOnly/SameSite=Strict); and cookies that Google may set via reCAPTCHA on the contact page (see section 7). The legal basis is § 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
10. No web analytics / no tracking
We use no web-analytics services, no cross-site tracking and no ad networks.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing (Art. 21), and
- withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
An informal message to the email address above is sufficient to exercise your rights.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz NiedersachsenPrinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany
